The Metonic cycle is 235 moons · sixteen sequences · nineteen years. The Loom holds different scales of the same turning.

the Loom in brief · enough to find your way
The Loom is a planning surface that moves with the Moon instead of against it. The Moon's journey is a curve; here that curve is unrolled into four straight sides, so a whole lunar month sits before you at a glance. The Sun stands at the right, casting its light across the Earth at the centre.
Each side is one quarter of the Moon's journey: Sowing (New Moon to First Quarter), Growing (First Quarter to Full Moon), Reaping (Full Moon to Third Quarter), Resting (Third Quarter to the next New Moon). Every side holds up to nine day-slots; when a quarter takes only eight days, the first slot stays open. That opening is the breath of the weave, not a mistake.
The Loom carries fifteen lunar months, one 1/16 sequence of the Metonic cycle, the 19-year handshake between the Moon and the Sun. The label above the controls tells you where you are: Lunar Month n of 15. The four sides are also called walls; the current one is named beside the label.
You can also turn by swiping across the spiral.
This is the Loom's controller, the same one that sits below the Focus panel. The four phase quadrants in a rhombus, a square standing on its point, with Earth at the centre and the Sun at the right. Touch the quadrants to see the arc of each Moon phase quadrant, rectified into the planes of the Mantis Memory Matrix. The Matrix's full story can come another day.
The panel on the right follows the scan around the spiral and shows what is woven into the current quadrant: your events and tasks as threads through the weave. Tap it to open the Weave, the whole moon at once. Tap a thread to land in the Loom at that slot; the ↗ opens its source. Sign in with your registered email and your own threads follow you.
Up to three calendars, woven into your Focus: your own secret iCal links or public ones. Google: settings → Integrate calendar → Secret address — or paste any public .ics / webcal:// link (Google embed links work too). Yours alone.
